Introduction to Lax for 2nd Grade Boys

The fastest growing sport in America is about to grow some more.

When:    Sundays 8:45am - 10:15am
Dates:    5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 6/6  (Rain Out will be made up 6/13) (No clinic on 5/30 due to Memorial Day weekend).
Where:    TBD
Fee:    $65

Equipment Needed:   

Weeks 1-3: Lacrosse Stick and mouth guard only; Week 4 & 5 ALL EQUIPMENT!

   •    By week four you will know whether it makes sense to buy the equipment.
   •    A stick will be provided for the first 30 paid registrants that need to borrow a stick.
   •    This stick will become their property and returned after the last session. The value of the stick is $60.
   •    Others may have to borrow a stick from a friend or need to purchase a stick.
   •    Sticks are available at MacWear on Kings Highway, Lacrosse Unlimited in Norwalk, Athletic Shoe Factory or Sports Authority.
   •    Mouth guard: Please purchase prior to clinic. Mouth guards will not be available at Wakeman.
   •    No mouth guard = NO PARTICIPATION!

WEEKS I & II:
Concentration on basic skill development: passing, catching, scooping, groundballs, position & fun games.

WEEK III:
Review all of weeks I & II and a fun non-competitive SKILLS CHALLENGE and small field scrimmages.

WEEK IV & V:
SUNDAY, MAY 23rd & JUNE 6th – Full Field Scrimmage

EQUIPMENT NEEDED (Week IV & V only): Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Gloves, and Arm Pads (goalie equipment provided).
