Girls House League

Girls House League (Grades 5/6th & 7/8th)

The Girls House Program consists of two groups (5/6th graders and 7/8th graders).  This league is open to any current 2009-2010 member of Wakeman.  Players of all levels are welcome.  This season begins in late April and runs through mid June (with evalutations taking place between March 22nd through April 9th).

Equipment Required: Girls stick, eye wear (goggles) and mouth guard

GIRLS IN-HOUSE FIFTH & SIXTH GRADE         $120
A program for 5th/6th girls will be offered for those who want to play lacrosse while not having to commit a huge amount of time. This program will be focused on the rules of the sport, teaching the fundamentals and continual skill development. Games will be played on either Saturday or Sundays and may consist of both home & away on the weekends. Girls can expect to have one practice during the week and one game on the weekend. Girls will be divided into three-four even teams in 5th/6th grade. All players that sign up will be evaluated between the weeks of March 22nd through April 9th and asked to attend one evaluation.

Probable Game Dates:     Games will alternate between Saturday and Sunday afternoons. April 24th/25th, May 1st/2nd, 8th/9th, 15th/16th, 22nd/23rd, June 5th/6th, 12th/13th (7 game schedule)
(No game on May 29th/30th due to Memorial Day weekend).
Times:    Will vary according to schedule (schedules will be out mid March).
Practices:    Times and Site TBD. Team practices will begin the week of April 19th and conclude the week of June 7th. Each team will practice once a week.
Evaluations:    Will be taken between the three weeks of March 22nd and April 9th. Each participant will be required to attend one evaluation.

5/6th Grade Girls:    Detailed information will be announced in mid-February.                               
Group Size:     88 Girls will be accepted into each program.
Fee:     $120 Includes team shirt, shorts
