12TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY BREAKFAST
Always a fun morning, Wakeman parents, friends, and alumni recruit a table of friends and serve up their table's waiter as guests enjoy a delicious breakfast and listen to a terrific celebrity speaker. Guests then "tip" their waiter, with all donations supporting Wakeman programs. With past speakers like Bobby Valentine, Jimmy Roberts and Chris Berman, this year's breakfast  is sure to be an event you won't want to miss.

BRICKS FOR FUN CAMPAIGN
Beginning in January, we will launch a "Bricks for Fun" campaign to sell personalized bricks in order to raise funds for a brand new playground at our Southport Clubhouse. The playground will be state of the art in terms of equipment, safety, and function. We'll be looking for support from everyone so that we can raise the funds and install the playground next fall. Details will be available in the lobby and on-line afer the first of the year. FREEZIN' FOR A REASON
Saturday, February 11th, 2012- 1:00pm at Jennings Beach
Freezin' for a Reason is our newest fundraising event and everyone is invited to participate! Join Club staff, alumni, parents, members and board members as they enojoy a quick and refreshing swim in the chilly waters of Long Island Sound to raise money for Wakeman. We promise this event is a whole lot of fun and not nearly as scary as it sounds.

We want the beach to be filled with Wakeman supporters ready to race in to the water for this very special event. For more information to sign up, visit www.firstgiving.com/wakeman. Gather your friends and join other Wakeman parents and alumni for our signature fund raising event of the year! Bid on fabulous silent and live auction items and mingle with friends, enjoy delicious food and drinks all while contributing to our most important annual event.

18TH ANNUAL CORPORATE GOLF OUTING
Monday, June 4th, 2012-- The Country Club of Fairfield
Do you love to play golf as much as you love Wakeman? If your answer is yes, then join local companies from around Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey for our 18th Annual Corporate Golf Outing at the beautiful Country Club of Fairfield. Included are cart and green fees, a delicious buffet lunch, and post-outing reception.

3RD ANNUAL TAG SALE
Garage Walls Bursting? Attic Overflowing? Basement Filling Up? Time for some Spring Cleaning and Wakeman needs your unwanted treasures! Wakeman will host its 3rd Annual Tag Sale on Saturday, June 16th from 9:00am-3:00pm and Sunday, June 17th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Club, with funds benefiting programs initiatives at the Southport Clubhouse. We are only looking for items that are in good, clean, working condition- in other words, your best stuff! A list of accepted items will be posted on the website as well as drop off times by May 1st.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
Wakeman members participate in Fairfield's Memorial Day Parade. All members are invited to join us. Simply call the Club to receive instructions and time for meeting.

AWARDS NIGHT
Each June, Wakeman hosts its Annual Awards Night at the Club to recognize members for their achievements throughout the year. On this night, the following awards are distributed: Coaches Awards, Fine Arts Exhibit Finalists, Keystoner of the Year, Sportsmanship Award, and Volunteer of the Year. Check the website in late May for date and time.

BGCA'S DAY FOR KIDS
Wakeman Boys & Girls Club will be celebrating BGCA's Day for Kids on September 15, 2012 from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Activities will include a dunk tank, moonbounce, a caricaturist, DJ, face painting, relay races, Triple Play activities, a snack bar, cotton candy and more. Members and non-members are welcome!
