August 28th & 29th, 2010
Wakeman Boys & Girls Club will host a Tag Sale on August 28th and 29th at the club. We are looking for gently used household donations (clothes and stuffed animals not accepted). Dropoff at the club will begin August 1st. A complete list of items that will be accepted as well as dropoff hours will be posted on the website by February 1st. BGCA’S DAY FOR KIDS
Saturday, September 25, 2010
Wakeman Boys & Girls Club will be celebrating BGCA’s Day for Kids on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 12:00pm-4:00pm on the turf field. Activities will include a dunk tank, moonbounce, a caricaturist, DJ, face painting, relay races, Triple Play activities, a snack bar, cotton candy and more. Members and non-members are welcome! CHRISTMAS TOY COLLECTION
Show your holiday spirit! The Keystone Club will be collecting toys for children at the McGivney Center in Bridgeport. Please take an ornament off the Christmas Tree (available in the lobby throughout December). The ornament you choose will identify the age and gender of a child needing a present. Simply drop off your unwrapped donation toWakeman by Thursday, December 17th. Thank you for your generosity.

BIGELOW TEA COMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:00am. 2 Mile Run at 9:30am, 5k at 10:00am.
Kids Fun Run includes 100 yard scamper, 1/4 mile race and 1/2 mile run.
All children up to 5th grade welcome.

FINE ARTS EXHIBIT
January 10th - January 14th | Preview Party - January 7th
Any member in grades 3rd-12th is encouraged to participate. No limit to the number of entries that may be submitted. Any artwork created at home, school or the Club in 2009-2010 will be accepted. All entries must be received by January 4th. Categories: sculpture, monochromatic, multicolored, pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic, print making, pen/ink,

MARCH MADNESS AUCTION FOR WAKEMEN
Come celebrate March Madness at the Wakeman auction. Join us at Wakeman for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
We’ll have some great silent and LIVE auction items. The evening will be filled with fun and excitement.
Invitations will be mailed after the first of the year. In the months to come you will have many opportunities to lend your support to the Auction. One great way is to consider placing a business advertisement or personal message in our commemorative journal. This journal will serve as a memorable keepsake of the evening and will be distributed to 400+ guests. In addition, the journal will be made available to all of our 2,500 member families. Your add will be seen by everyone.
