About Us
Wakeman Boys & Girls Club serves the needs of boys & girls grades 1 – 12 in Fairfield, Connecticut and surrounding communities. With over 3,400 members, the Club offers both a supervised open gym program on a daily basis and a variety of structured activities throughout the year.

The Wakeman Collaborative at the Burroughs Community Center has been growing regularly since its inception in 1998. The after school programs are designed for students in 5th-11th grade students and offers those students opportunities to get assistance with there homework and school project, use of a computer lab for school work and Internet research, art programs, sports and recreation activities and a wonderful cooking program. Selected members take part in Torch and Keystone Clubs just like the clubs at Wakeman. A summer program for 5th-8th graders is available offering sports and arts programs as well as field trips. The Collaborative at Burroughs evolved out of Wakeman's interest in growing & building bridges of cooperation with other communities & agencies. For more information contact Burroughs Community Center’s Executive Director, Kevin Simmons at (203) 334-0293 or by email at kevin@burroughscc.org

Message from Wakeman Staff

Countless hours are put into the program planning process: organizing activities, scheduling gyms and field times, recruiting referees, volunteer coaches and instructors. Before registering for any program, please be certain that your child is prepared to attend classes, practices, games or clinics unless, of course, he or she is injured, ill or academically ineligible. The Wakeman staff has made a commitment to provide each youngster with the best possible Club experience. We ask that our members make the same commitment in return.
