CYBER SPOT 
Session 1: Grades 3-5 $40/
Session 2: Grades 1-2 $30

Kids will have a lot of fun learning how to make their own baseball cards, how to manipulate your photos, paint and have fun playing games! Classes will take place in the new computer lab on Tuesdays from 4:00pm-5:30pm. Session I: 10/30-11/20; Session II: 12/4-12/18.

 

BABYSITTING/CPR  
GRADES 6-8
$75

The "super sitters" class will allow all participants to become fully certified in infant, child, and adult CPR. The class will be taught by a registered nurse and will meet on Tuesdays from 6:15pm-8:00pm. In order to become certified, it is mandatory that members attend all 5 classes. It is very important for members to pay serious attention during every class. This is an excellent class for our young babysitters. Tuesdays 4:15-6:00pm September 9-October 14

 

 

SMART GIRLS
GRADES 4-5

The goal of SMART Girls program is to help girls develop healthy attitudes and lifestyles. To accomplish this, the program addresses health and social issues that are specific to female Club members. Specifically, the goals of SMART Girls are to develop and enhance the skills necessary for a healthy lifestyle by helping girls to:

This SMART Girls program will be targeting the 8-11 year old range (4th & 5th graders). The following topics will be covered over the course of the eight weeks:

Physical and Emotional Growth, Media Influence and Body Image, Eating Disorders, Personal Values and Social Interaction, Exercise and Physical Activity, and A Healthy Atmosphere for Healthy Appetites. These topics and activities provide younger members experiences in team-building, self-esteem, and self image, as .well as health and hygiene. These sensitive and complex issues will be addressed with sensitivity in a safe environment. Session I: 10/16-11/13 (Thursdays) 4:00pm-5:30pm

 

SMART KIDS MAKE SMART MOVES
GRADES 1-2

This program is sponsored by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and its goal is to provide children with the knowledge, skills and self-esteem to help kids avoid risky behaviors and/or situations. Members will learn how to deal with peer pressure, participate in self-awareness activities to develop respect for one’s own body, ability to handle feelings and healthy habits. It is a fun learning experience that provides youth with age appropriate knowledge and skills they would need to grow to be confident teenagers. The class will also have time set aside for the members to participate in a supervised gym activity and snack time. The class will take place on This fall/winter we will offer two sessions on Mondays from 4:00pm-5:30pm: Session I: 10/6-11/3; Session II 11/17-12/15.
